This Chelsea boot is part of the classic Van Bommel collection. The shoe is made according to the Blake method. The outsole has a fine non-slip profile. The midsole is made of vegetable-tanned leather that is finished with a stylish dark blue layer coloured by hand. The heel is divided into two parts by an elegant dovetail joint. The part that gets the most wear when walking is made of durable rubber, while the adjacent part is made of the same vegetable-tanned leather as the midsole. The heel is slightly sanded to prevent it from getting caught on the hem of the trousers. On the side of the sole edge, two very fine notches have been milled into the top and bottom. The lining is entirely made of premium calf leather. The cutting edges of the leather at the top of the boot are exquisitely finished with thin black piping. The dark brown leather stems from a tannery in Chiampo, Vicenza, Italy. Halfway through the production process, the shoe is first lightly washed to deepen the colour and then coloured by hand.
